Will That be All?

 “So is that everything?”

“Can you run that all by me again?”

“I have you down for two cheeseburgers, two large fries, twenty-piece chicken nuggets, two large soft drinks, and two chocolate chip cookies.”

“I asked for two large drinks?”

“Yes, sir, you did.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, sir, I am sure.”

“I’m not sure I appreciate your tone, young lady.”

“I’m not taking a tone with you, sir.”

“Don’t call me ‘Sir’ with that tone either, little Miss Nose Ring.”

“There’s no need for name calling, sir.”

“And there’s no need to be a little brat.”

“All I’ve been trying to do is take your order… for the last fifteen minutes.”

“Is there something you want to say to me?”

“I don’t feel like what I have to say needs an explanation.”

“Humor me.”

“I’m not sure someone who wears a suit to go to McDonald’s has much of a sense of humor.”

“I just got out of a business meeting. For my job. Where I make real money.”

“Good for you, sir.”

“You know what, just let me speak with your manager.”

“Sorry, but she’s out to lunch right now. You can come back in half-an-hour to see her… if you’re not still ordering by then.”

“Screw this.”

“Is it safe to assume your storming off means you want to cancel your order?”

“Up yours!”

“I hope he didn’t break that door. Oh well. Next, please.”

  1. My first attempt at creating a scene using only dialogue. It felt a little rough to me, but whatever, I already posted it.
